DESCRIPTION:The Vicsek model is widely used to model collectiv
e motion. In this talk\, I will present recent res
ults on the well-posedness of the kinetic equation
and the mean-field limit in the presence of a sin
gularity in the dynamics. This singularity appears
when the flux of the particles vanishes. This is j
oint work with Marc Briant (Paris Descartes) and A
 ntoine Diez (Imperial College London).
