DESCRIPTION:*Abstract:* The talk will outline the history of t
 he setting up of the National Centre for Gaming Di
 sorders in 2019  and will  give an in depth unders
 tanding of the clinical presentation of the young 
 people assessed and treated. The issues impacting 
 family members and family life caused by a loved o
 ne's gaming disorder will be described as will the
  interventions delivered at the clinic. \nSome of 
 the talk will cover the neurobiology of the illnes
 s as well as the global WHO work of the expert adv
 isory group on Gaming Disorder. \n \n\n*Biography:
 * Professor Henrietta Bowden-Jones OBE is the curr
 ent President of Psychiatry\, Royal Society of Med
 icine (2020-2022). She is a medical doctor and neu
 roscience researcher working as Consultant psychia
 trist in Addictions\, leading two national clinics
  in the UK. As well as graduating in Medicine and 
 specialising in Psychiatry with a CCST in Addictio
 n Psychiatry\, Prof Bowden-Jones also pursued a re
 search career and a Medical Doctorate in Neuroscie
 nce from Imperial College (Ventromedial Prefrontal
  Cortex impairment in Alcohol Dependency). She is 
 the founder and joint Chair of the National UK Res
 earch Network for Behavioural Addictions ( NUK-BA)
  based at Cambridge University. She has published 
 several books and has an extensive publication lis
 t in a whole range of peer reviewed journals. For
