DESCRIPTION:*Abstract*\nLarge\, rare copy number variants (CNV
 s) are associated with neurodevelopmental disorder
s such as intellectual disability and autism spect
rum disorder. However\, it is possible to carry on
e of these CNVs and to be less severely affected\,
perhaps even to appear unaffected. There is a lac
k of evidence on the phenotypic effects of neurode
velopmental CNVs in this group. I will be presenti
ng work on the effects of neurodevelopmental CNVs
in cognitive and psychiatric domains in individual
s without overt neurodevelopmental disorders. I'll
also be speaking about returning CNV results to r
esearch participants and future directions for tra
 nslation.\n\n*Biography*\nDr Kimberley Kendall\, (
BSc Hons MBBCh MRCPsych PhD) is\nan academic and g
eneral adult psychiatry trainee from South Wales.
She studied medical genetics and medicine at Cardi
ff University\, and later completed her PhD on neu
rodevelopmental copy number variants at the MRC Ce
ntre for Neuropsychiatric Genetics and Genomics\,
Cardiff. Dr Kendall's clinical work is currently i
n rehabilitation psychiatry and assertive outreach
\, and work mostly with individuals with psychotic
disorders. Her research interests are in how we c
an use psychiatric genetic findings to improve pat
ient care. For more information on Dr Kendall\, pl
