 jJ3azErSUYremw5UWRKL0NKUT09.*\n\nAbstract: In this
talk I will describe how the analytic structure o
f scattering amplitudes impose non-trivial constra
ints on the standard model effective field theory
 (SMEFT). For example\, in the bosonic sector\, I w
ill explain how the bounds imply restrictions on t
he size of certain CP-odd operators by associated
CP-even couplings. This result can be exploited to
reveal a connection between constraints derived a
t colliders and limits on the neutron electric dip
ole moment. Further\, I will demonstrate that in t
he fermionic sector\, IR consistency requires that
flavour violating operators are bounded by the fl
avour conserving variants. While most results will
be presented for the SMEFT at dimension 8\, I wil
l also describe recent progress allowing a subset
of the results to be lifted to dimension 6.
