DESCRIPTION:\nGeneral anaesthetics have been used ever since the 1840's\, 
 but their\nmechanism of action is still not fully understood. My research 
 aims to\ndefine the molecular mechanisms of general anaesthesia\, using ph
 ysical\nmethods ranging from molecular dynamics simulations to neutron\nsc
 attering. In this seminar\, I summarise the recent progress and\nsuggest s
 ome future directions.
