DESCRIPTION:This breakfast session will focus on hints and tips which shou
 ld be of value to all start-ups and those scaling up: getting the right te
 am\, having a market\, good record keeping\, contracts\, cyber security\, 
 insurance and many more.\nThis one-hour session is provided by Simon Portm
 an of Marks & Clerk and Matthew Clark of La Playa who will be sharing thei
 r thoughts on many issues that a young (and more mature) company should ad
 dress\, perhaps especially if they’re trying to attract investment.  Fin
 anciers (banks\, investors) will often give more credence to companies wit
 h excellent house-keeping records and a good idea\, rather than an excelle
 nt idea but poor company records.\nThis session will cover:\nGetting the r
 ight team: Team dynamics and reasons for team failure\nContract negotiatio
 n and contract management\nGood housekeeping  and day to day issues\nIdent
 ifying the market / actually having a market\nWatching out for the competi
 tion\nHostile IP and IP infringement\nData privacy and cyber security\nImp
 lications of hitting the US market\nManaging these risks with insurance co
 ver\nDifferent types of insurance policy\nEven if not all these points are
  of direct relevance to your company\, there will probably be several that
  are. This is an excellent chance to hear snapshots about each as well as
