DESCRIPTION:I will present new entropy methods developed in&nb
 sp\;&nbsp\; collaboration with Patr&iacute\;cia Go
 n&ccedil\;alves and Ot&aacute\;vio Menezes (IST\, 
 Lisbon)&nbsp\;&nbsp\; in order to study the large-
 scale behaviour of interacting particle&nbsp\;&nbs
 p\; systems. The first lecture will introduce Yau&
 #39\;s relative entropy&nbsp\;&nbsp\; method and a
  new variational formula for exponential moments o
 f&nbsp\;&nbsp\; observables in the context of gene
 ral Markov processes\, and it could&nbsp\;&nbsp\; 
 be of independent interest. In the second and thir
 d lectures I will &nbsp\; explain how to derive la
 rge-scale limits of non-equilibrium&nbsp\;&nbsp\; 
 interacting particle systems out of these ideas.
