DESCRIPTION:Let W be the positive Witt algebra\, which consist
 s of elements of\nthe form f(x)(d/dx) for some pol
 ynomial f(x) with complex coefficients.  The unive
 rsal enveloping algebra U(W) is a\ncomplicated and
  interesting ring\, which was only shown not to be
  noetherian\nin 2013.\n\nWe study the two-sided id
 eal structure of U(W).  In contrast to one-sided\n
 ideals\, the two-sided structure appears to be rel
 atively sparse\; in fact we\nconjecture that U(W) 
 has ACC on two-sided ideals and that any proper fa
 ctor\nring of U(W) has finite Gelfand-Kirillov dim
 ension.  We present evidence\ntowards these conjec
 tures.  Our main technique is to study the Poisson
 \nstructure of the associated graded ring of U(W).
