Abstract
With employment struggles continuing across the continent, it is increasingly important to be aware of growing groups with greater vulnerability of being without work. This talk will cover some of the specific issue surrounding single mothers and employment at a European level, including definitions, cultural values, child care and varied magnitudes of problems faced. We will also discuss some rather interesting economic and social policies currently used across the continent. This should be a highly interactive talk as it is a trial presentation with embedded discussion points that will be of interest to any audience.
Series This talk is part of the Darwin College Humanities and Social Sciences Seminars series.
