If you have a question about this talk, please contact events. Beavers are one of the most powerful natural tools we have in the fight against climate change and the biodiversity crisis. Beavers have been missing from our landscape for over 400 years, but they are steadily making a comeback through reintroduction projects across the country. In February 2025, The Wildlife Trust BCN successfully reintroduced a family of 8 beavers into the Nene Wetlands nature reserve in Northamptonshire. This talk will discuss everything we have learnt since then, covering basic biology, ecology, and history of the beaver, as well as a background on the project itself and all the amazing things they have been up to over the past year. This talk is part of the Cambridge Natural History Society series. This talk is included in these lists:
