Further detail
Cambridge University Physics Society (CUPS) has arranged talks and social events for physics students since the 1940s. From researchers at the cutting edge to science journalists, Nobel Laureates to entertainers, we offer a range of talks to suit everyone, whether you’re a seasoned physicist or just a student who’s never stopped asking “why?” Talks in the 2025-2026 academic year are generally held at 7pm on Thursdays, usually at the Department of Chemistry, and are followed by Q&A and a wine reception. Talks are free to all. Recordings can be found at https://www.youtube.com/c/camphysocUK/videos. Information for memberships can be found at our website http://camphysoc.co.uk.
