Members of the Production Processes Group carry out research into manufacturing processes at the component level, with an emphasis on understanding and applying the underlying science.

Topics include the development of better models for traditional processes, as well as of innovative processes based on emerging technologies.

Throughout, there is a strong emphasis on the commercial priorities and on the transfer of technology to industry
