Cambridge is home to some spectacular architecture, fantastic art collections and beautiful gardens. Open Cambridge is a weekend of tours, talks and open access in which University and College buildings and collections will go on show for families, local residents and community groups.

Explore what the University of Cambridge has contributed in the past to our society in scholarship, culture and architecture, and the contributions it continues to make today. You will be able to meet University and College members face to face and find out about Cambridge’s role on a local and global scale over the past 800 years.

Tours cover topics such as the history, architecture, art and gardens of College and University buildings. Explore exciting collections and manuscripts as College and Departmental libraries open their doors to the public.

On Saturday, you can listen to talks on the 800 years of Collegiate Cambridge. Throughout the weekend you can also visit the community art exhibition at the Pitt building, which celebrates the University’s 800th anniversary.

All tours are free to the public but advance booking is essential. Online booking available at www.cam.ac.uk/opencambridge. For more information please call 01223 766766.
