Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa is popularly known, Joeboy as his stage name, he is a fast-rising Nigerian singer, musician, songwriter, and recording artist. He was born on 21st May 1997 in the Lagos State of Nigeria, he is currently 23 years old. However Joeboy completed his basic, upper basic, and high school (senior secondary school)in Lagos, he went to the University of Lagos(UNILAG) where he studied Human resources and management.

Career: Joeboy career in music started at the age of 16, his musical inspiration generated from 9ice, because he used to hang out with him in the studio, at the age of 17 he recorded his first song Gbeseyin, an afrobeat tune, Moreso, in 2017, he released a cover version of Ed Sheeran’s Shape of you, which by it he gained many viewers in Nigeria and abroad, the genre of music is that of Afro-pop and R&B. He is a wide experience singer with the musical genre of R&B and Afro-pop. He is one of the new artists that is fast rising to the limelight within the Nigerian music industry, which made Mr. Eazi discovered him and decided to offer him a provisional mentorship. Joeboy is currently one of the most talented Nigerian music artists with amazing vocals and stylish musical performance and attitude.
