CCIMI Short Course: Random matrices, Dyson-Schwinger equations and the topological expansionAdd to your list(s) Send you e-mail reminders This short course is organised by the CCIMI , and open to all. Lectures will run on the 13th(2-4pm), 15th(2-4pm), 18th(3-5pm) & 19th(2-4pm) November. Instructor: Alice Guionnet (CNRS, ENS -Lyon) Abstract: Random matrices and random tilings provide an example of strongly interacting variables. To analyze their asymptotics, a central tool is the uses of the Dyson-Schwinger equations. Following this approach we will discuss the central limit theorem and the topological expansion for random matrices. We will show how such ideas extend to random tilings.
